New Brunswick Admission Process

In New Brunswick, Parkland works in partnership with the New Brunswick Department of Social Development as a licensed private Special Care provider. An assessment is required for all admissions to Special Care licensed communities, and can be requested through the Department of Social Development. (call 1-833-733-7835, option 3, or by visiting Social Supports NB for more information).

Nova Scotia Admission Process

In Nova Scotia, members of our clinical team play a vital role in ensuring resident needs are matched with the appropriate lifestyle option and supports. For Enriched Care, an assessment by a family doctor or attending physician is encouraged, though families can work directly with our licensed clinical team members to determine if Enriched Care is a fit with the resident’s needs.

Ontario Admission Process

In Ontario, Parkland is a member of the Ontario Retirement Communities Association (ORCA) and licensed through the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA). All Ontarians require a physician’s assessment and in-house health assessment prior to moving in.
