Supportive Lifestyle
Inspired by residents and their continued independence, Parkland’s Supportive Lifestyle includes three uniquely designed options as part of our continuum of service so that residents can access increasing levels of support as their needs evolve over time. In each Lifestyle Option described below, residents and family members can take comfort knowing our communities are beautifully designed, professionally staffed and a place where safety is a top priority.
Our Supportive Lifestyle environments are overseen by a team of experienced Registered and Licensed Nurses, as well as Personal Support Workers and other qualified care professionals. All residents in our Supportive Living communities have an interactive emergency call system in their suites, health staff present on-site 24 hours a day and an annual health review with ongoing health record maintenance. Additionally, residents enjoy specialized recreational programming designed by a certified recreational therapist including activities such as music programming, art and pet therapy.

Assisted Living
Assisted Living is a uniquely designed option for older adults who require light to moderate assistance and/or supervision with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). Residents enjoy added comforts and supports including:
- 3 meals and nutritional snacks daily
- medication administration, laundry and housekeeping services
- spacious suites designed for wheelchair access, including washrooms with a walk-in shower and seat
- quick access to a dedicated dining room and common area

Memory Care
Based on leading memory care practices and certification programs, Parkland’s Memory Care lifestyle option is designed for older adults diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Dedicated team members work to get to know residents’ history and interests to ensure their continued quality of life and social connections. In addition to meals, medication administration and full laundry/housekeeping services, Memory Care offers:
- a secure neighbourhood environment to support those with a risk of elopement, including a centrally-located nursing station staffed 24/7 with experienced and knowledgeable team members
- spacious suites featuring a secure, customizable curio cabinet to feature resident keepsakes
- individual care plans and regular health assessments by Parkland’s clinical team

Enriched Care
Enriched Care is a thoughtfully designed option for older adults who require full support with the activities of daily living such as eating, dressing, mobility and personal care. Residents have access to professional nursing services in a secure, home-like environment that includes:
- a private suite, fully furnished with an adjustable hospital bed and specialized lifts for residents with limited mobility
- a centrally located nursing station staffed 24/7 by compassionate healthcare professionals experienced in providing care to those with complex needs, including palliative care
