Dr. Christy Bussey
Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Bussey leads clinical governance at Shannex, advancing evidence‑based, ethical, and person‑centred care across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Ontario.

With more than 16 years of clinical and executive leadership experience, she has practiced as an acute care hospitalist since 2010 and previously served in senior leadership roles with Nova Scotia Health, including Executive Medical Director for the Central Zone.

Recognized for her leadership during COVID‑19 with the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal, Dr. Bussey holds her Canadian Certified Physician Executive (CCPE) designation and is deeply committed to improving health outcomes and quality of life through innovative, high‑quality care.
