Everyone at Parkland Saint John knows Norma Gaudet! As we celebrate the 10-year anniversary of Parkland Saint John, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on just one of the many joyful residents who make this community feel like home.
Norma moved to Parkland seven years ago with her husband. After he passed away a few years back, Norma wasn’t sure how she would feel living alone. But she chose to stay, drawn by the warmth of the team members and the engaging daily activities that keep her active and connected. With her family living nearby and visiting often, Norma is never lonely.
Her days follow a comforting routine: a daily walk she never misses, followed by a cozy spot in the common room where she catches up with neighbours. On days when the weather is too hot or cold, she stays active on the treadmill. She also eagerly joins every outing on the new Parkland bus, embracing life with a positive spirit despite her vision loss.
Nestled along the stunning Bay of Fundy, Parkland Saint John offers beautiful walking paths and endless opportunities for residents like Norma to stay engaged. With a calendar full of activities and events, there’s truly never a dull moment.
