Canadian museums hold thousands of photographs documenting military service, but many remain difficult to search and access. Remembering Their Faces, a research project at Mohawk College, explores how AI technologies such as facial recognition and image classification can help connect people with these important historical records. Designed for a general audience, this presentation examines the opportunities and challenges of using AI to improve access while balancing privacy, copyright, dignity, and remembrance.
