Parkland communities are managed by Shannex, a family-owned company with Maritime roots and more than three decades of being a trusted provider of services and supports to seniors across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario. Shannex opened Parkland on the Glen in Mississauga in 2015, followed by Parkland on Eglinton West in 2020 and Parkland Ajax in February 2023. Today, Parkland continues to grow with a future community planned for Ancaster in 2024.

When Parkland Ancaster opened, it marked a special milestone for Reefat Talukder, Lifestyle Consultant, who has been part of the community’s journey from its earliest stages. Having watched it grow from construction to a welcoming place to call home, Reefat has seen firsthand how thoughtful design and a people-first approach shape meaningful community living.
For Reefat, the opening of Tiffany Hall stands out as a defining moment. “It redefines what care should look like for older adults,” she shared.
