He moved into his two-bedroom suite at Parkland with his wife Jo in September 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where were you were born and where did you call home?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I grew up in Kemptville, Nova Scotia.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What did you do for work and where did you go to school?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><meta charset=\"utf-8\">I went to St. Francis Xavier and it is the best school! I studied engineering and always worked for telecom companies.&nbsp;To pay for my education I served in the army for seven summers and worked in the engineering corp in British Columbia before returning to Nova Scotia for school.&nbsp;After working in Montreal and New York, I came to Ontario in 1975 for work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where is your favourite place to spend time when you&#8217;re home?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the games area, leading the Parkland on the Glen Puzzles Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"348\" height=\"480\" src=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-02-at-3.52.30-PM.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-02-at-3.52.30-PM.png 348w, https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-02-at-3.52.30-PM-218x300.png 218w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 348px) 100vw, 348px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s a meal that you get excited about here?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My go-to is the New York strip steak prepared just how I like it. I also love the homemade soups &#8211; every day they serve a different kind!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What\u2019s your favourite thing about your suite?&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I like the size of our two-bedroom suite. We were able to bring many of our collectibles. <a href=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/life-at-parkland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Living at Parkland <\/a>on the Glen is an extension of my retirement because I can follow my interests and actually share them by incorporating them into <a href=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/health-and-wellness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">weekly activities<\/a> that we do here.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other feature that I love is that we have two bathrooms &#8211; One with a shower and one with a bath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also love the views of The Collegeway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8122\" srcset=\"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/20220224_115034-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are your favourite pastimes?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I have a lot of interests dating back to when I was a teenager. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was an avid curler, because my friend\u2019s father was a renowned curler and taught the local high school kids how to play on Saturdays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m also a birder!&nbsp;I have seen over 600 species in North America.&nbsp;At Parkland I make sure the bird feeders are kept full of seeds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since I was a child, I have been fascinated by puzzles and why and how they work.&nbsp;I have puzzles that I&#8217;ve owned for years that I still haven&#8217;t figured out.
