{"id":2270,"date":"2019-05-09T15:48:40","date_gmt":"2019-05-09T19:48:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/?p=2270"},"modified":"2025-07-02T10:25:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T13:25:41","slug":"chocolate-cake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/experienceparkland.com\/en\/blog\/2019\/05\/09\/chocolate-cake\/","title":{"rendered":"Chocolate Cake"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Enjoy this deliciously rich chocolate cake recipe, compliments of Bouchaib Daouine, Executive Chef at Faubourg du Mascaret.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup butter, melted and cooled<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 tablespoon vegetables oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup brown sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup white sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 large eggs, room temperature<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 teaspoons vanilla extra<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup all-purpose flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 teaspoon salt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1\/2 cup roughly chopped chocolate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>METHOD<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat the oven at 350 f then line baking trey with parchment paper and set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In large bowl combine melted butter, oil and both sugars.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the egg, vanilla and salt then whisk for about one minute until evenly combine and light in colour.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Over the same bowl sift in the flour and cocoa powder, gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
