August 19 – 25 is a special week in New Brunswick as we celebrate Special Care Home Week. It\u2019s a time to recognize and honour the vital role these homes play in the province\u2019s long term care network. Special care homes are more than just places to live; they are communities where older adults find comfort, dignity, and independence every day. It\u2019s also a moment to applaud the incredible dedication, compassion, and hard work of the team members and operators who make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents every single day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

At Canterbury Hall<\/a>, residents joined the celebration by sharing fun facts about themselves and offering thoughtful words of advice and inspiration:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bella Spence (Age 94)<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Accompanied by her dog Charlie, Bella says she is inspired every day by \u201chaving so many friends, a good meal, caring staff around, and loving every day.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
