My Parkland Tour
\nAs we turned into the Campus on 40 Vitality Way,
\nThe buildings sat solidly on meticulously landscaped grounds.
\nThe Canada Geese and I\u2026
\nHave much in common.
\nA lay-by to rest, and be nourished
\nFor the next leg of our journey.
\nThe outer doors opened\u2026
\nAnd joy flowed out.
\nI stepped through the inner door where\u2026
\nA waterfall reminded me of the ebb and flow of life.
\nWe were greeted with welcome smiles..
\nAnd the tour began.
\nWide hallways, lovely colours\u2026
\nA movie theatre, a gathering place for concerts,
\nAnd a beautifully appointed dining room.
\nAttention to details creates both beauty
\nAnd a feeling of home.
\nTwo weeks later I was ensconced in my own little nest.
\nWhat would this month bring for answers?
\nHow would this space support me?
\nAnd life is not just about a roof over your head.
\nI found the heart of who I am.
\nMy four passions in life enlivened\u2026
\nPeople, the natural environment, the built environment,
